Hays’ staff take on a mighty challenge for Action For Children

Hays, a global leader in specialist recruitment, have decided to take on a physically and mentally challenging act for the good cause of Action for Children.

Action for Children has been Hays charity partner for a number of years, and is also recognized as one of the largest children’s charities in the UK. It is currently working with over 156,000 children to help improve their lives. These children are sometimes young carers who cannot cope while others are vulnerable and at risk of abuse. So far Action for Children has setup 6 community projects throughout Birmingham to help those who have no one to turn to. The target is to raise an amazing £60,000… So Hays, you best get them buckets out!

The challenge is known as ‘Beat the Moon’ and includes cycling a whopping nine miles as well as a trek atop Scafell Pike (the highest fell in England). If you thought that wasn’t enough, they also have to canoe on Wastwater and fight through rapids and challenging obstacles. To finish it all off the staff from Hays will have an exhausting 1 mile run to the finish line.

Action for Children have already given their thanks to Hays, and Tim Cook (the Managing Director of Hays UK) said:

We are proud to support such a fantastic charity and would like to thank friends, families, colleagues and the local community for all their support in helping us meet our fundraising target.
