Sandwell Women’s Aid opens vacancy for Head of Accommodation Services
Women’s Aid works nationally to end domestic violence against women and children. They do this by supporting over 500 frontline service provisions throughout the country.
With the help of domestic violence survivors, Women’s Aid lobbies the government to meddle with policy, campaigns to raise general public awareness of domestic violence, and provides responsive helplines and information reference services to women and children caught up in all forms of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and human trafficking crimes.
As part of such ongoing endeavours, the Sandwell branch of Women’s Aid is now recruiting for a Head of Accommodation Services (as advertised on Guardian Jobs). Sandwell Women’s Aid is a well established branch of the national charity, providing accommodation and community support services throughout Sandwell and the wider West Midlands area. This is a serious position within a serious charity that aims to literally save lives – maintaining the wellbeing of those in dire situations by working on the frontline under classical governmental procedures in a typically under-resourced manner. That’s right – you’d be working towards the Supporting People frameworks, managing contracts and managing accommodation services budgets.
Do you have the brash to reel the red tape for the real benefit of those most in need? If so, and you have a CV to die for, you could bag yourself a £34k annual wage. You know what to do – fill in the form on the website if you’re female and you fancy your chances with this job.
